AUTHENTIC VOICES AFRICA

 

Authentic Voices Africa (AVA) is a cultural connectivity and artistically collaborative movement that brings Hip Hop practitioners from different communities across Africa and the Diaspora to collaborate on Hip Hop projects, dialogues, exchanges, and gatherings (festival & other events). Our focus is on identity, telling our stories, inclusion and reconnection to our ancestral roots through indigenous Hip Hop culture.

 

The AVA Hip Hop festival will be a full week festival organized in the third week of May, from 15th to 21st (the international Hip Hop appreciation week) that brings together artists from different cultures across Uganda, Africa and around the world for a packed of wisdom cyphers, symposiums, cultural tours, open mics, and celebrations offering a diverse audience with an authentic indigenous experience of diverse cultural expressions.
